Welcome to the March 2012 update for Salesmatrix users.

New minor release available - Salesmatrix V4.51

As part of our ongoing commitment to updating and improving our software we are pleased to announce the release of Salesmatrix version V4.51.

New features include:

More interactivity: The traffic lights now have a new sensitivity adjustor in the toolbar allowing interactive fine-tuning of the traffic light boundaries.

More analytics: A new price point assessment groups products into price levels, allowing analysis of price sensitivity of customers or customer groups.

More Product and Sales Categories: Each of the Customer, Product and Salesperson aspects now have five independant categories allowing assessment of results to be grouped and reviewed.

Easier interaction: From the grid menu there is now direct access to 30 new categorized grids - making looking up of grouped data faster and more intuitive than before.

Upgrade is at no charge to those on support plans or who have purchased Salesmatrix v4 in the past 18 months.

Salesmatrix Script support for even more systems

Salesmatrix is well known for its ability to connect to a wide array of business systems. Over the past 12 months we have increased the number of systems that we have connected to and are able to provide support for. Newcomers to the supported list include:
  • All Microsoft Dynamics* systems: (GP, NAV, SL, AX)
  • Sage Business Solutions
  • SAP Business One
  • PeachTree Accounting
  • Quickbooks (US and Canada)

This brings to over 40, the number of systems that have successful "out-of-the box" connections to Salesmatrix.

Salesmatrix Tips:

Have you used the Salesmatrix Budget generator?
In speaking to many of our seasoned Salesmatrix users, it is apparent that many are unaware of the functionality behind the budget creation in Salesmatrix. If you are in a similar situation, you are missing a significant part of the Salesmatrix V4 intelligence. Even without creating a budget you can for example check out the correlation between cross-sell and sales channel performance. Or why not check out how many customers you will have to sell to each month to achieve a 10% growth. Go to Tools/Create Budget and click the Correlation Drivers tab and explore the drivers behind your market!
 
Customised reporting facilities

If you have a specific format for a report that you want to produce from Salesmatix, or need it in a special place in your internal CRM system, Salesmatrix 4.5 has the ability to connect with customised external reporting software. If you would like to know more, or be quoted on how much a customised report from Salesmatrix would cost, please feel free to contact us.

Reminder on Annual maintenance provisions.

Payment of Annual maintenance is now an established part of business software practice. Many of our distribution partners include this in their proposal for the provision of Salesmatrix. The benefits are many, including the continual upgrade to the latest features added to Salesmatrix, the ability to relicence immediately on another computer should you change hardware, and access to our support using GoToMeeting.

In addition to this at Salesmatrix we understand that personnel change, businesses grow and needs change. In some cases the benefits provided by Salesmatrix become neglected or forgotten. From 1 September 2009, Salesmatrix introduced the addition to our standard maintenance service of one hour of personalised on-line training per company per annum. This session can be tailored to your specific needs and will help ensure you are getting the most out of Salesmatrix. All companies subscribing to Attache Fast Track Plan, Business Manager Gold Club, or otherwise paying an approved annual maintenance plan through their dealer are eligible for this service. Welcome to the November 2008 update for Salesmatrix users.

With difficult economic times it is even more important to work smarter not harder. As can be expected over the coming period, markets will change and it will become increasingly important to react quickly to change. In difficult times factors such as which products are no longer being sold, where better margin opportunities exist and how customers adapt their buying patterns to new circumstances can be the making or breaking of a business

The Salesmatrix range continues to make the job of recognising changing patterns and trends just a mouse-click away and with our new versions, even more intelligent and customisable to your day-to-day analysis needs

Below you will find some of the enhancements and features that have been added and some updates to what is happening at Salesmatrix...


Updated features in Salesmatrix V4.2
Every year Salesmatrix makes several minor releases to add new requested features, improve performance, or to solve issues with new operating systems. In the coming days, Version 4.2x will be released building on the popular features added in Version 4 released earlier this year. New features include the ability to:
  • go back and forward between grid views
  • view year to date variances (e.g. the first five months this year versus the first five last year)
  • store individual user preferences and colour options under terminal server and Vista
  • Customise Traffic Light colours and variation levels from the toolbar
  • Show pop-up notes against Products, Customers, and Salespersons (See example below)

Salesmatrix Server V1 released
Salesmatrix Server is a new member of the Salesmatrix family that is designed to automate the creation and distribution of Salesmatrix datasets. Salesmatrix Server allows datasets to be created and downloaded at designated times in conjunction with Scheduled Tasks, an integral part of the Windows operating system. This allows (among other things) for example
  • a daily dataset containing the last three months data to be updated every day at 3am,
  • a monthly dataset to be downloaded on the first day of the month.
  • a dataset for one sales territory to be created,  zipped and emailed to the responsible salesperson every first Monday in the month.

In the future Salesmatrix Server will also become the engine for web services, providing an interface for web developers to access the intelligence Salesmatrix produces.

The release configuration will be Salesmatrix Server + 5 viewer licences for $A3000+GST. Existing Salesmatrix users can upgrade to this Salesmatrix Server for $A1800+GST. New South African Distributor
Salesmatrix Australia is pleased to announce the appointment of a Salesmatrix distributor in the South African market. The appointment brings to a total of eight countries where Salesmatrix is sold and supported.

Greatsoft is well known for their professional practice management software and their distribution of Attache software in South Africa. Their experience will ensure that new and existing users receive a high level of support and assistance in setting up their business intelligence with Salesmatrix. "For us at Greatsoft, the key to Business Intelligence is integration of systems that our clients are already acquainted with, that require little or no training and enable each manager to mine the information he or she needs. We are able to now do this thanks to our partnership with Salesmatrix", explained Bruce Morgan, managing director of Greatsoft.

Official Release of Salesmatrix version 4.0

Salesmatrix Australia are pleased to announce the release of Salesmatrix v4. This release has extended the Salesmatrix sales-reporting functionality to include a professional business intelligence framework. While retaining the familiar dynamic reporting interface, Version 4 introduces a host of new business intelligence routines and opportunity analysis tools.   Among the many new features and improvements are the following:

  • Automatic Loading of Datasets so users always have the latest data available
  • Market Basket Analysis to plan retail product placement or up-selling strategies
  • Budget Creation from current datasets incorporating a range of "what-if" tools. This outstanding innovation saves time and provides your sales team with insightful 4-dimensional drilldown budgets at a few clicks of the mouse!
  • Salesperson Product andCustomer IntelligenceCentres.  An amazing set of new intelligence providing the possibility to quickly understand individual opportunities in each of these areas.
