What accounting systems does Salesmatrix Lite  work with?

Salesmatrix Lite has been designed to import data solely from MYOB products. If data has been imported using Salesmatrix V2 or V3, then Salesmatrix Lite will be able to open those datasets and display the views in the normal manner.

Can I create scripts for importing data using Salesmatrix Lite?

No, the imports are simplified in Salesmatrix Lite so that the user can easily choose which aspects and categories of data are imported. The settings that are made can be stored and used as the default settings for subsequent imports. 

What are the differences in features between Salesmatrix v4 and Salesmatrix Lite?

Salesmatrix Lite has been designed to import data solely from MYOB accounting systems. The main grid dynamic functions of Salesmatrix are all there in the Lite version, but several of the advanced assessment and customer analysis features are missing. In particular Customer Quadrant analysis, Customer assessment and the Seasonality tool are only in the full Salesmatrix V4. 

Can I analyse my Products by Supplier?

Yes, Preferred Supplier is included as a category of Items able to be chosen at import time. If the items are flagged within MYOB with the usual supplier, Salesmatrix will easily facilitate Supplier analysis.

Every year I roll-forward our financial data and archive the previous year’s data, so that the only information available in our database is the current year. Can I still see the previous year’s data in Salesmatrix?

Salesmatrix Australia has a product in production that allows import from more than one ODBC source. Expect to see a release of this in the 2nd quarter 2007.

In the interim,there is no reason why older datasets cant be connected to ODBC and imported for analysis in Salesmatrix

Will Salesmatrix Lite be useful to me, if I have a large number (10,000+) of products?

It’s likely that if you have a large number of products to analyse, you’re probably evaluating by product groups rather than individually. If this is the case, Salesmatrix Lite can import the full dataset, and then using the subset creation tool, split large datasets into more practical managable sets. The grids display very quickly however, and will always be produced faster than printed reports!

Do I have to purchase MYOB ODBC also to connect MYOB to Salesmatrix Lite?

No. Salesmatrix Lite comes with instructions on how to install and licence MYOB ODBC enabling you to connect Salesmatrix to MYOB datasets.
